Snö och 1:a advent

This week

The biggest challenge so far has been to learn GWT and how everything fits together. It seems to suit us well so far though.

This week our goal is to set up dynamic marker loading, a database with markers, and an easy way for markers to be added to the database.

We have also started looking at our login options. We have mainly looked at OpenID and OAuth. Google and a few other companies supports OpenID, while some others (like LinkedIn) support OAuth. This is an unfortunate situation (see comic below). I think we will try OpenID first; maybe it's just as well to go deeper in the Google swamp?

Seems familiar?

Jaha

Progress so far

Hello world.

So I guess it's time to write our first blog post. We have been quite busy with other courses, but now we've finally spent some quality time on this course.

Alexandra is sitting next to me coding with the google maps api. We have chosen to use version 3 of the API. Unfortunately v3 is not supported in the gwt-google-apis project, but we think the speed increases in v3 makes it worth using it instead of v2. Hopefully all this means in the end is more JS, which is fine by us.

Ok, I think we are ready for the presentation on thursday. See you then.
